Professional: Venetia is a Chartered (UK) Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney. She has an M.A. in Natural Sciences (mainly Chemistry) from the University of Cambridge

Industry: Venetia has worked for over 16 years in corporate practice, as Director of Patents, European Operations with Rohm and Haas Company, the US specialty chemicals manufacturer (since acquired by The Dow Chemical Company), and as Patents Manager of The Morgan Crucible Company plc, the British speciality materials manufacturer. Prior to joining Morgan she spent 3 years in private practice in London.

Expertise: Venetia specialises in chemical EP oppositions, portfolio management, and the creation, development and implementation of IP strategies. She has also been involved in enforcement and licensing issues. Her corporate experience enables her to provide a practical and commercial approach to the IP issues facing business.
Venetia’s particular technical areas of expertise include polymer chemistry, biocides, ceramic materials and refractory insulation.
